I am trying to decide on what wheels to get for my tl as a christmas present ( when i will be able to afford them ), I have four options in mind.

1. Keep the orginal Ralliart Enkei Rims on and spend the money on getting an interior re-trim in red suede or leather.

2. Dolce Dc-12's in 19" x 8"

3. Starcorp Racing Spiders in 18" x 7.5" ( white )

i am very inclined on going for the Dolce rims ( chrome ones ) as i love the american look. If i did get those rims i would be looking at getting the car lowered a bit more.

im not a fan of the chromies.

chrome just doesnt suit bright red cars.... its not a "bling/classy" colour

I love the white wheels, but I'm not sure they'd look that great on your vehicle (due to the colour), I suggest go with the black Mercury's.

im not a fan of chromies either but that rim with that colour slammed looks hot

Apparently by law it must be written on the wheel somewhere. Take one off and look around. I think the magnas are +34 or something.

By my owners book the magna offset is P46 that is for a TH though

Thankyou, i had a look at the full size spare and it has embossed on it 46, as well as enkei 17x7 jj so i would assume the 46 is the offset.

You will need to go to about +40 or +35 (cant remember which) for 8" wide wheels. They wont fit on otherwise i believe.

Yes, either 40 or 35.. i cant remember which one of the two. using a +46 offset, the wheel will hit against the suspension.

Ive got 8" wide rims on mine with a P40 offset and 235 tyres. Mine clear by about 10mm

Oh ok, that works out sweet then, teh speedys have an offset of 35, i was a bit worried about that offset, it appears i was getting worked up over nothing.

The max offset is 40 with 235's but with 245/40/18's 38 is better .
I've got 18 x 8's with 245/40/18's , 35 offset . :cool:

if i was you i would ask the wheel shop what offset to use. has any1 on here actually got a +35 offset with 8" wide rims on there car would be very curious to see some pics. mine are 18x8 with a 42 offset and they fit nicely up under the guards. a 40 puts the rim inline with the guard and a 38 moves it out past it a fraction for a 35 you would need to flare the guards to make it legal. but ask the wheel place they will know what offset to use, they have a book that recommends the right one (its the same as au-ba falcon)

interior retrim sound best i reckon. the wheels u got now are pretty ****in decent or if u gonna get wheels then id get the top ones, the chromies. someone did a photoshop of the chromies with ur car and i reckon it looked prettyghetto lol

Ive seen on a lancer in perth every 3rd to 4th spoke (or something like that) is covered in alloy so when the car rolls it looks like it is 1 pce mag.

I got chromes on my car because on the verada there is alot of chrome trim (grille, doors, etc) as standard.
For this car, go no.3 or 4 in my opinion :cool:
