Just out of curiousity, where did/do you guys go when you get your car audio installed (when it's not done by yourselves)?

I go to Brett Hill at Performance Car Audio (Located in Bayswater), he stocks Audison, Hertz, Earthquake, JVC, Polk/Momo and last time I went he had Fusion too.

Yeah, I go in there like once a fortnight just to say hello to him for 10mins, I end up staying for 3 hours cuz he loves to talk. Top bloke, always looking out for his customers, plus his Clubsport R8 is ****ing crazy :-D

I went to Gary's Car Radio in Heidelberg. Try to avoid that place! Really dodgy job. Turn indicators/headlights was messed up, and grounding wire was connected centre console's plastic mould! My HU malfunctioned because of this. Had to fix it myself. When informed about the poor grounding, they had the cheek to disagree and claimed that my HU was faulty to begin with. Hey... it was fine after i rewired the grounding as s_tim_ulate advised! Poor customer service too pre and post installation (read: unfriendly).

Prior to that, i wasn't too impressed with Audio Fx in North Melbourne either. Jacked up the installation price to $175 after i told them i was going to bring my own gears for installation (HU and front splits). The price quoted before that was $140. Said they'd profit less if i don't buy their gears.

I'm aware that loads of other people probably had a better experience with these guys, but not me. You've been warned.
