have just joined the magna site and recently bought a TR magna executive auto. I was abit surprised at the amount of fuel the 2.6litre uses. have done nearly 400klm and used nearly a tank full of fuel. have had it tuned and seviced including the automatic. however the tuneup was not an electronic tune.
i am quite impressed with the car and love driving it, just so pleasant and comfortable.
any help would be appreciated.

Not quite sure, you'd hope for more than 400km on an EFI. You're lucky though, I don't even get 360km on my carby.

geesus.. thats shocking... on a long run i get over 640km from a tank on my EFI TP

weird im getting about 520kms city driving in my 1996 tr auto

96 tr? or 91-93 tr, or 96 ts or te? hehe... guessing Te cos u have a 2.4 litre in ur profile :D

TR1: Has the fuel filter been changed? Or also try a fuel injection de-carbon clean, it cleans the injectors and apparently makes them spray better, and also cleans the fuel rails.

My Magna TE goes at least 500km on a full tank without problems and we are talking about just within city and regular driving not to the country. If travelling long distances I am sure 600km is possible with ease. Do the decarbon thingy, at mitsubitshi I saw it for $155.00 to do it.

I had a TR '93 Manual - got around 10L/100k
TR's have a knock sensor so I'd suggest you use 3 tankfuls of Caltex Vortex 95
If you have rough running put in fuel injector cleaner before filling up
