View Full Version : Bling wheels on a TP
Thinking about throwing some 17" mags on my 90 TP... anyone done this? any problems etc? just looking for some do's and donts... i did a quick photochop job on my car and the mags... they look mint... but i dont wanna buy them and find out they wont fit in my guards or anything :(

errr, maybe the guys at the wheel shop you buy them from will know? i mean, it is there job, or you buying them off ebay?
They are an ebay job yea...
I mean if they make them to suit my car wouldnt that mean they should go on no probs? I just wanna be sure

CAD, I'm hoping to do the same with my TP as well. I want to put 17" white wheels on mine, so an answer to his question would be gratefully appreciated by myself too. I guess I could always drive to a tyre/wheel shop and ask, but I wouldn't want to waste petrol at the cost of it at the moment :-)

The tyre shop im talking to says he's getting them in, in 3 weeks time for the TP... but im scared there gunna rub on everything etc :(

so long as you get the right profile, eg 215/45/r17 they are fine. No rubbing issues, roughly same rolling diameter as old wheels so speedo wont be out. May get issues with turning as the tyres are now @3cm wider than stock. But unlikely.

As long as the total diameter of the new tyre doesn't exceed the diameter of the old tyre by more than 15mm they are legal. The chance of rubbing is very low however.
