Well, it seems the TS has gone to god. I don't know exactly what happened, but the missus crashed it the other day. From what she tells me, it sounds like either the power steering failed, or some part of the front end collapsed. She lost control and ran over a high gutter and a brick wall. Whilst the insurers haven't looked at it yet, the mechs at the towing company seem to think that it will be a write-off.

So, we've sorta resigned ourselves to getting a new car. I like magna's, and she's into the idea of getting a newer model (but still second hand). We'll have a budget of $15k AT BEST, and included in that I ABSOLUTELY want to get an LPG conversion done.

Thusly do I come to my question. What recent magna models are approved for gas conversion? We're thinking of 1998 onwards..... I was gonna get it done on the TS, but the manual says no, so I had resigned myself (rightly or wrongly) to not getting it done.

We've almost got a second chance, so this time around I wanna get it right!

Basically only the Advance model has the "LPG compatible" engine. I know on the TL and possibly earlier models the option code is N01, if the car has LPG motor it will have that code stamped on the options plate. Some execs also are optioned with the LPG motor.
However, the LPG installers i have spoken to think that they don't have a problem with any of the 3rd gen on gas. So I have put gas on my "non approved" motor.
I think the LPG motor just has stronger valves/seats.
