Greetings,
I've just re-kitted the carb, and now it idles very rough - hunting, I guess, as the revs fluctuate by, perhap, a hundred or so RPM. I can also feel this happening when the gas is off, like around corners...
I may have made a mistake. In the middle section of the carb (the black thing that sits on the throttle body), there was a chamber with a ball and a section of brass (or whatever) cylinder. Now, the Goss kit's doco (such as it is...) describes the "pin" a little differently, and suggest that an 'o' ring should go in there as well. I really don't remember how it came apart, but don't recall such an 'o' ring. When I reassembled (without the 'o' ring), the pin sat a little countersunk in the chamber.
Additionally, I note that the air mixture screw works best (although it doesn't fix the idle) when turned all the way in. There are no vacuum leaks - I've spent the last 12 weeks making sure of that ;-)
Any ideas?
