Hi there, as I am very new to this maintainance thingy, but I do know how to do the Fuel filter now thanks to the people here who contributed.

I like to know if changing brake procedure is easy to do?

I have not changed any brake pads myself before and if it is a easy thing I would like to try and do them myself. Any directions would be very appreciated. If you think this is a difficult task please do tell me also. I would just gladly send in my magna to have them changed.

One last question is what brands of brake pads should I go for my Magna TE? Recommed me something decent but not to premium lol . I dont want to get to cheap ones that dont do the job either.

Thanks in advance!

Here's a how to for the rear pads... Rear Pads (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15828&referrerid=2480)

For the fronts, jack up and USE A STAND!!!, take wheel off, undo the bolt on the bottom of the caliper, tilt caliper up and slide toward engine and it should come off. The old pads should fall off the disc. **Do one of these at a time**

Check the brake fluid in the resivour, take the lid off and if full to the brim, empty a lil out.

Use a g clamp, and VERY SLOWLY clamp the piston back into the caliper. If you do this too quickly you will have to rebuild the caliper...

Put the new pads on the disc and slide the caliper back over and do up the bottom bolt. Press the brake pedal VERY GENTLY to the floor repeatedly. It should get really hard soon. Put the wheel back on.

Repeat for the other side... :D

I think I covered everything there in a quick post...

Good luck dude!

When you put in the pads, clean the calipers with water NOT COMPRESSED AIR

On the pads use Permatex anti squeal, on the ends of the pads, use a SMEAR of graphie grease.

Always machine the rotors as they glaze, especially in Magna's

Good directions but I am not confident of doing them lol. Think I have to get myself a manual to look at to know what I am doing. Otherwise I would ended up with no brakes at all.

Anymore suggestions on brands of the pads? As I may end up bringing in to a shop to have it change. also heard originals from Mitsubitshi arent that good. But is only what I heard.
