Remove the entire headlight assembly. Remove the clips that hold the assembly together. Place assembly in your oven at the lowest setting. Wait a couple minutes untils the glue softens and remove from oven. Pry apart the two pieces. If it won't break loose put it back in the oven for a little longer. When you are done put the seperate pieces back in the oven until the glue softens. Then you can put them back together easily, don't forget the clips you removed earlier.

Lowest setting on oven is not hot enough. You need about 10-15 minutes at 150-160 degrees. Nylon melts at about 210 degrees so there is no risk of distortion if you follow these instructions. The glass ones are easier to remove as they transfer the heat to the adhesive better than the MR12 Lexan used in the polycarbonate 1 piece lenses.
Remove the metal clips.
Preheat the oven so it cycles twice (turns on and then off again) and place the headlamp into the oven glass side down. Do not allow any plastic parts to touch any metal in the oven (it will melt). Place the headlamp in the oven when the element is not glowing.
For one piece headlamps, use baking paper so you do not damage the lens.
Pry open starting at the edge of the headlamp with metal spatulas/paint scrapers. You may get halfway and find it gets difficult. Insert a paddle pop stick or something to hold the part open you have already done, and place in oven for another 10 minutes.
When you are done, place the headlamp back into the oven with the lens in place (face down again) it should slide into place. Now refit the metal clips (they will probably be quite tight) and place in oven for another 10 minutes. There is no need to add any adhesive.
Never, EVER use silastic / silicon on your headlamps - two reasons - it fogs the lens and reflectors when it outgasses as it dries AND you will never get it apart ever again.
I have done about a dozen headlamps this way, with no issues at all. I should add this to the headlamp FAQ...

Ours ovens are a little different here in the US I guess. My lowest setting did just fine. :D I removed the Silicone comment from my earlier post. I never used it on mine but had read you could, guess not.

Probably are different. Ours start at 80-100 degrees celcius (roughly) which is definitly too cold.
BTW your avatar is freaky...

angel eyes are circular rings of light inside your headlights, they are usually wired up to come on when u have your parkers on
