if power is getting to the base then you are probably looking at a new lighter assembly

If you're feeling keen, pull the cigarette lighter assembly out of the dash, and look for a tiny dark grey wire at the bottom of the lighter socket. If it's melted or deformed, that's why your cigarette lighter doesn't work. The same thing happened on my brother's KE, and the genuine part is $60ish from Mitsubishi, but lighter sockets from Gens 2 and 3 and almost identical, just go to a wrecker or a pick and payless and pull a few out.

Ur like I say I got a spare, can sell it at $15.00 include shipping lol. But do note I dont have the ciggie plug, just the assy. However have already said it could just due to a wire connection, so save ya money and make sure it is really the assy fault. Wreckers sell it for $35.00 I think with the plug.

lol, I guess as much, its hardly ever the ciggy assy that is spoiled. Well good to hear that you saved you money.
