I have just recently noticed that my 91 TR is using a lot of fuel, by a lot I mean full tank to in between 1/2 and 1/4 I have done 231km.

Is this a cause for concern, I think it is but I don't know very much about what is good and not good fuel economy.

well....is it a 4 cyl or 6cyl??

mines a 6cyl, on average, i get 240kms out of 1/2 a tank. thats with the more than occasional squirt of the right pedal lol

nah sounds about right, we get about 110-140 K's to 1/4 of a tank so sounds right.

You can't really go on "halfway" as an indicator, as it'll probably be different between the cars. If I don't get at least 250k at "half full", then I'm having really bad economy. But the needle doesn't even touch "full" until I've done at least 70k. And I only get maybe another 100-150k (from half) at my mental "refill" mark, which is probably less than a quarter on the guage, but is on average 40-45litres refill.
So I get maybe 350k off that size refill for a "bad" economy, and up to about 500k off that refill for "good" economy. It's been around the 380k mark recently, for city driving.

yep i'm getting approx 430 to the full tank. Driving rather like my grandpappy. '93 TR 2.6L 4 cly auto too ! juz make sure your overdrive is on and the pwr switch is NOT activated and LESS junk in yer boot will make sure you get better economy.

i use to get 500km's to a full tank with a bit of highway cruising.... and a little of quick accelarating around town.

im dead serious! the TR 2.6 had an economy of 13l per 100km im lucky to get 20l at the best! thats why ride my bike everywhere! 17l tank and get 300km!

anyone know the price of a Oxygen Sensor for our TR's?
