ok quick question ... i know unichips r great and all but i didnt know there were diferent kinds..

is "type A" compatable with a magna ?

Not sure if its compatable.

If its a 2nd hand item, you may beable to send it in to Unichip to have it reflashed (for a price) to suit a Magna.

thnx bain400 yes, BUT make sure they can reflash it other piggyback manufacturers charge up to $200 to do it! (which would make it not so worth it)

for $400 sounds good, even if it costs a bit extra for a reflash its still a bargain

Yes, that is the right one.

Had one in my last Ralliart, got one for this Ralliart.

Dont need to send it for a reflash or anything else, when you get it installed they will simply overwrite whatever is on there with the new information.

For $400, i would not let it go as that is half price.

so whats diferent with the other unichips ? r they just like updates on prevous models and are not car specific?

anyways thnx alot for the help need to find the $400 lol

each type has a list of cars that suits them like the type d mostly wrx and like uses them. type c is used by is200 lexus etc. and yeah i agree with ralliart boy type a are used by magna :cool:
