Oils? I personally go all Castrol - amazing what changing oils will do -

Tyres? Boot the stocko ones! - a good set of tyres will change alot more than just straight up grip -

Last but not least.......... A AMG sticker - have been thought to increase max. power 20% -

What's your budget, and how much power do you want?

To get you started..

Rear Muffler: $200-400
Extractors: $400-$1000
Full 2.5" exhaust: $500-800
ECU: $800-$1200 + tuning
Cams: $1100 + tuning
Heads: $1400 + tuning

and so on..

the car already had a exhaust system when i got the car. so far i can only see the after market one going up to the rear pessanger seat. after that its all stock to the engine. CAI will be done 2moro.

if you can stretch to $2.5K I'd probably recommend an RPW inlet manifold for $1100, some pacemakers from $400 installed depending on where you are, and some kind of piggy back ecu + tune. Oh and spend $30 on some PVC pipe and rubber plumbing adapters to knock up a CAI setup.

That should get you close to 20kW and lay groundwork for later mods.

I would get the Extractors done.. possible Chip could be done for that kind of budget..
(aftermarket engiine management??)

Hmm.. imho it's much of a muchness.. you'll get more power than you had before no matter which way around you do it, and doing one mod first doesn't rule out doing the other later.

Perhaps doing the manifold first is better for all around drivability because it'll improve low down torque, but it depends on your priorities really.

yeha i just mean if u had to choose one or the other id choose inlet manifold over cams ....

lol granted, its a pretty uneducated assumption but from what i have read ppl seem to be getting more out of it than cams ( slightly more band for buck )

for me personally ( im poor :P) itll be ralliart cams($300) and inlet manifold

i ges thats something that ppl dont suggest much is u can always try ralliart cams for a much cheaper option on a budget ... though obviously is npthing compared to stage 2's or stage 1's

mmm thnaks for some of the inputs guys. think ill do these in order:

1. extractors and full 2.5 exhaust
2. ECU Piggy back (wats a good brand or are they all they same and where can i get 1 from)

that will do me for 2 months till i can save more then

3. heads and cam

that should do me good coz i dun wanna go to over board with mods.
