its behind a pipe isnt it? on the front side of the carb (closest to engine), looks like most of the others screws to me.

It is blocked off from the factory but you can remove the plug and do it.
I wouldnt without a gas analyser though

Yeah I found it guys, its right at the back nearest the firewall

Found out the carbi needs a full overhaul, i.e. when mixture screw is fully in, it doesnt stall

Thanks anyhow guys

the screw you found is probably the fast idle adjustment. this simply scews open the throttle a little. the screw just pushes the throttle linkage a little and is only used for base idle adjustment.

the mixture screw i a needle which literaly blocks the fuel flow into the engine when at idle. a consistant amount of air is allowed in (given by the exact size of the idle passage) and is not adjustable, this amount of air is exactly what the car needs to hold around about 600rpm.

the mixture screw simply governs how much fuel gets into this air streem, so the less you put in the leaner the car runs at idle. if the car is too lean then not enough power is made from the air going in, too much fuel and the car will foul plugs and run rich when no throttle is applied.

hi, just wondering how much it should cost to get the stock tm carbi rebuilt as i have a mechanic saying $290 is this overpriced? is the weber conversion worthwhile or am i best off just sticking with the original carbi? i have yet to blueslip my car and that is my main concern i saw a thread in which you stated some ridiculously low price like $27 is this for real and as the gasket is perished will i need a whole kit?

Odd. Your Elite should be ECI, unless it's another car.
