Howdy all,

for my next trick, im contemplating shadow chroming my existing rims, aposed to buying new ones, cos
a) they dont make my rims in shadow chrome, nor do they make my style of rim any more :(
b) i love my rims, and ive got a 9" wide, which for some reasion, i dont see many 17's with a 9" profile :D, so i think im special :P

so what i want to know, is there aftermarket places that can shadow chrome rims etc?

are there special places to get this kinda work done?

is it a paint or a type of metal that the rim had to be made of when it was made??

and if anyone knows, how long does it take for them to shadow chrome stuff :P

Ben.

I did some ringing around today as I was thinking of getting mine Chromed .. normal not shadow....
And no one up here does it because it is too hard to get the plate to stick.... (depends on the "Throw" of the machine... meaning something about it cannt stick to perpandicular surfaces etc...)
There is some place apparently in SA that could do it... so get tehm do there to ring around and find out..

ANYWAY

back to non-penis related talk.

MWT in Melbourne will do a heap of powder coating and that sort of stuff from $50 per wheel. I got my 16x6's (on my new car) done in white. They do a kick ass colur called hypergold, which is three different shades of yellow, would look real good on the right car.

You could get a sort of charcoal look done to your wheels....except you're in the NT. :D
