I dont plan on doing it just yet because my bank balance needs to recover after buying the car, anyway I have a KJ verada xi with the 4 disc stacker etc etc factory. Does anyone know whether I would be lucky enough to have rca outputs on the back of the headunit? i doubt it so when i get my new sub im most prolly gonna have to get it connected thru the line level or whatever they are

Other than a sorta lack of bass and the lack of mp3 playback, its pretty good

The Factory stereo is unlikely to have RCA outputs unless it is the Eclipse Headunit..
The Stock stereo should be Pretty Bassy with the 6x9's on the back shelf...

I have KJ ei's HU on my bench, same one I'd think.

There's no line outs.


My 4-stacker broke (within the car's 3 yr warranty! :doubt: ) and it got sent to Sydney.
They fixed the mechanism but after it came back it started skipping on all my in-car
discs. Mostly CDRs but hell - it played the very same discs perfectly before!!

Sent it back again for checking... but they said there was nothing they could adjust.

Got charged $300 for the first job (by the time dealer booked me in, it was 'out' of warranty).



Your lack of bass is due to the HU.

Put something 'better' in and you may even reconsider that you need the sub.
Now running a Sony thru stock speakers... heck, they're pretty impressive for stock spkrs!
