Backyard operation run buy a couple of mechanics who work Monday to Friday at Skipper Mitsubishi :D $100 and Mitsubishi know how.

We had the Nimbus serviced at Skippers two months ago and payed a hell of a lot. The car started making ticking noises and was sounding screwy. We opened the bonnet this morning and found that there was hardly any oil in the engine, and minimal water! this is unnacceptable, and now weve decided to go private - to our friends backyard operation.

Gone...

Whats better than an RAC check when buying a Mitsubishi? Getting a mobile service guy from DVG Mitsubishi to check out the car your about to buy completly (ie genuine part serial numbers all over) for a 6 pack of beer! How sweet is that?

The guys that run that back yard job actually work for DVG now, and my sister got a Magna she was about to buy checked out. The service guy drove to the dealer in his mobile service van and checked everything. They didnt buy the car because the gearbox was not acceptable. The service guy said the shift paterns were abnormal, and that to the RAC or a normal driver that they would not pick it up.

the moral:
A 6-pack = better than RAC.

I do the little and regular things (oil, oil filter, air filter, and spark plugs) myself. More fun that way and you get in touch with your car when it gets oil all over you and the driveway :)
