Looks nice.
Awsome!
I thought they only made them in 17".
Its good to know you can get them in larger sizes. The HP copies really do suck when compared with the quality of the BSA ones.
ahh so thats where the HP's came from :D
looks awsome :D

Yeah i've heard a number of people ***** about tempe, mostly on the street commy forum but just thought I'd mention it here. I don't want to purchase from them if they're going to push me over and rip me off, anyone else with any experience with tempe?

Thanks for the comments guys :D
I was originally going to get the HP's from Tempe, but after 1 phone call to them...... well lets just say their customer service over the phone was crap. So i thought i would go with a local guy, turned out i got a better rim and a hell of alot better service.
Ended up dealing with "tyrepower"

Yeah, I think I'll go elsewhere, but I really need to find a place which have 14" white wheels in a decent design. I want to keep it at 14s, not a real big fan of the bigger wheels. Eh, if worse comes to worse I'll just end up buying 17" whites and regretting it.

I think some people on here have had good dealings with Tempe, in the end i thought it would be better to deal with someone here in Canberra. That way if i do have any problems, it is only just a drive down the road.
It seems these days only 20% of the people who buy mags have enough taste to choose ones that look good and suit the car so well done they look great. AMC people are starting to choose better mags! I'm happy for them now! That MODern ENGINEuity guy from the UK also has some nice ones. Normally you can't say it on these forums, but it's good to be able to genuinely say you like something so well done. They look nice mate. You planning to paint your calipers at all to put the icing on the cake?

I personally think it's a bit overkill. Chrome wheels on a white car can be done but it's hard to pull off. If the car was black It would look much much better! The fact that it's not colour coded makes it look odd also because you can't see how low the car really is because the grey blends in with the road. In it's current state I can't say I'm a fan, but with a few more mods (particular dark tinting, parabolics and a dark respray) it could be made to look pimpirish!
On white cars, I think white mags or light coloured mags look really nice because a) they match, and b) white looks bigger which is almost always better. People who wear white clothes look bigger than those who wear black clothes so it increases the appearance of the size of the rim as well I think. Otherwise shadows are great for white cars as well in my opinion.
These 2 are examples of ones I think suit the car very well. I don't think there is a general rule of thumb or anything like that because some mags just look really nice on certain cars but in my opinion, I think 5 spokes suit Magnas the best, like for example the ones of the first Magna shown attached below. The first Magna would look even better if the mags were 1" bigger but they still look nice imo. The picture of the 2nd Magna is not from the best angle and the mags may not seem that flattering to some, but they are good mags for the car.

yeh tempe are a pain in the arse, i bought some 17" chromies for my ute last october from them, 4 months later small areas of chrome were starting to peel off...triple dipped my arse!

The best way to describe Tempe Tyres is they are the No Frills brand of mag wheel sellers.

Cheers mate, funny thing the car does look higher with the 18's compared with the stockies. When i got the springs from pedders they told me they were superlows but i dunno?? Maybe i should look at some King Springs?? Or should i get these compressed more?? Coilovers are a bit out of my price range at the moment....

compress them more, cars are lower on stockies then on bigger rims
get rears just sitting ontop of the tyre and front like 1-2cm above the rubber, will look sweet

Just a quick question did u make the brackets for your boot up your self or did u buy them and just fit them. I have wanted to do this to my boot too..

The brackets are from Bunning "strap hinges" i think they are called, still have to figure out a way to latch it properly. For the moment i have just retained the original lower bolts to lock it in the closed position.

That looks heaps tough :) gonna have to look in that
Watchme you're car is easily the best looking Magna I have seen. Everything about it is class. The VRX kit, Verada grill, verada tail lights, mags, lowering, tint, even the clear side indicators, the whole lot. It's probably the only Magna I've seen where I could honestly say "don't touch a thing on it cosmetically". Good effort. You must get A LOT of compliments? Do you have a photo album of some sort?
