well went out for a cruise tonight and noticed that my headunits volume went up and down with the speed of my car...
is this to do with the ground of the actual headunit, if so how do i fix it?
cheers

hmm possibly altenator or battery then must be causing some big voltage fluctuations to be causing that though.
Could also be faulty headunit.
Try fixing up the ground. Wheres it grounded to?
If its stock ground look at sanding back a point on the chassis near the headunit and going through an existing screw

I wanted to figure out a way to do this, so when I pull up to lights my volume drops slightly. I know many cars have this as standard.
Im sick of getting weird looks at lights

hahahaha I think KENWOOD do a head unit like this :bowrofl: :bowrofl:
Its not worth it
hook something up to your brake pedal, lol
every time u step on the brake, it decreases your volume. Wouldn't know how to do that though. Maybe some kind of you-beaut electrical thing can be wired up to ur headunit or rca's or something hahaa.

ok...well its a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP, i got it installed by Autobarn a few months back, where is the ground spot, i would think it is the stock ground spot, so where would i find that.
If in fact it is the alternator would it be affecting anything else?

:bump: lol
I know this is an old thread... BUT!
I had this issue also and spoke to Pioneer about it. If you're still having this problem, check to see whether the HU has ASL on it (Auto sound levelling). Mine did (DEH-P1Y) and I didn't even know. lol It was turned on and had exactly the same problem... ONce this was turned off, no more problem. ;)
If it's not happening anymore feel free to lock this thread! hehe
