Last year my car wasnt changing gears properly, so i changed the hydraluics of the clutch, that didnt work so i changed the clutch. when that didnt work properly i remember i read that i should put a 2mm spacer in the clutch pivot, so i did and it was good for around 6 months.

Now i replaced the spacer and that lasted a few days, then i spaced it with some metal, and now it must have fallen out because a week later i have to fix the damn car AGAIN! I am sick of doing this every few days. So now i need to fix it tomorrow morning as i have to travel over east melbourne to get some computer parts and im not doing it with the car deciding to go into gear every now and then, with a friendly crunch.

What i really need to do is pull the gearbox out and put a spacer in exactly correctly, but thats hard when the gf insists that she NEEDS the car every darn day, and if the car isnt going she gets real upset!

So where am i heading? well i need to know what to space it with, it needs to be smaller than a 5c piece ive discovered, and im sick of fixing it every weekend!!!!

Put your missus in her place and explain to her that the on-going costs of the box are far worse than a day or two without to have the job done once and for all. I know first hand about a hard to deal with missus, belive me lol .
