Sorry to anyone getting ticked off with all my questions, but you know what they say " The only stupid questions is the one you don't ask ". So here goes.

How did people secure their speakers into the front doors?

My first thought was to just drill a few screws into place. But after a bit of consideration I figured that:

If I drill holes and placed bolts with over-sized washes before the nut; in place of screws, would hold it all in place far better.

Has anyone done this? If so did you also use a rubber ring before the washer to protect the vinal?

Any ideas would be good as I don't want the speakers falling out one day or having the door trim giving way and ripping or any other damage.

Yep, mount onto a round mdf baffle. Or make an entire mdf baffle to screw into.

mine didnt have speakers in the doors. i just cut the holes out and used the metal frame that goes behind the door trim to secure it... but im not sure what speakers youre using and if theyd have the supporting frame.

be careful on where you mount the speaker aswell. there are holes in the metal part of the door, so try and cut the trim to that shape. you dont want to cut the hole and mount ur speakers and find you C o c k e d it up by mis-aligning it! trust me, i nearly did it with mine!

what speakers are goin in??
