I am planning on upgrading the laptops ram to its max (320mb) and it currently has 128mb but the problem is, one of the sticks is onboard and the other one is replaceable. I am planning to get rid of the 64mb stick and replace it with a 256 stick. The problem is, that the ram in the laptop is pc100 and i can only find pc133.

If i throw in a 133 stick, would the laptop just run it at 100 just like most desktop pc's ?

the ram will only run as fast as the slowest speed so if you have a 100 and a 133 stick both sticks will run at 100 which in the grand plan of things DONT MEAN JACK! clearly 64meg is just not enough just get the 256 stick and leave the 64 in there.. or burn it.. you will never notice the diffenence between 100 and 133 but you will notice the difference between 64 and 320 megs of ram

Sorry again mods. i really got to stop browsing the forum with heaps of tabs open.

EDIT: Thanks rothguard, It already has 128mb (64mb onboard and 64mb stick) so i have to ditch the stick and replace it with a 256 lol. Its already running at pc100 so, yeah just as long as it doesnt confict im good

I couldnt really find any specs for it but i was reading a review and they said that the max it can handle is 320mb.

PC-133 (133Mhz) will work fine at PC-100 (100Mhz) speed.

The same can't be said if the situation was reversed.
