mmm will next time i go up there.. i nearly fell over when i seen it he said that he had to change the engine mounts around a little bit, but other then that he couldnt believe that it went in that easy the power to weight ratio will be enormous when he is finished lol...

no shiat eh...
cant wait to see some specs... has he done a dyno yet?
we should all use our gumption & work out exact power to weight ratios etc :D
*calculates mine*
rofl...
mine (worked out on stock engine kw's @ 180) is 8.333r kW per Kilo (assuming mine weighs 1500kg even)
(oops, just realised im in the 1st gen sec, apologies peeps :D)

how much power you reckon? hmmm so i presume yours is a 2 door sigma scorpion like this one is lol... yer.. he got bored so he is rebuilding his chev... putting it on a HQ ute chassis so it dumps it, but once he has done that he will get bak to the sigma.. i will take pics wen i go back up there... he lives in mannum adelaide lol

The 3.8L V6 fits in nicely too.
The 253 isnt overly powerful - 115kW stock (blue with 4 bbl) with twin exhausts (100 without). I will admit that it is pretty good on fuel for a V8. With some mods they go alright though.
My Commodore feels slower than my Magna but :(

Yeah i was going to say dont worry about the 253 and get a 308 instead. If you plan to bore out the 253 you want get much out of it anyways (compared to the 308)
Or get a v6 echotech with a supercharger ftw!

I've seen a 308 conversion, looked MAD! Went hard too. The 302 is also a pretty comfortable bolt in.
