Hi all,
We were pullting the alarm out of the wrecked TS into the KS today and after a debate about whether or not the alarm's immobiliser should be hooked up the other person decided to hook it up.

He just unplugged the wiring from the ignition barrel and swapped it over from the other car (which had the alarm patched in). The interesting problem is that now (even with the alarm removed and everything back the way it was) the car wont start.

According to the stickers on the windows the car has a factory immobiliser, could this have kicked in?

If you have used the factory ETACS then it would have been more than a plug and play system so it would have been an after market system you have.

Depending on what was unluged and changed back, I would say that you have disturbed something.

Are you getting fuel pump pulsing and the injectors pulsing, this will tell you if you have fried the ecu which I have seen happen before when trying to instal alarms

It is an aftermarket system. I was thinking that perhaps we have pissed off the immobiliser built into the car.

The ECU is fine. My guess is the immobiliser has kicked in when the other person pulled the ignition apart.
