wot is the easiest way to paint side mirrors, leave them on the car and mask up the area around them or take them off? and how do u take them off neway? i figure u take off the door trim but then wot??

They're heaps easy to take off - I'd recommend taking them off rather than trying to paint them on the car. grab the main part of the mirror and twist it, it will twist on the base revealing 2 bolts (prob 10mm) just undo them with a socket and the entire mirror assembly will come away from the door.

I'd recommend not painting the black 'pad' that acts as the seal between the mirror and the door - I got mine painted some time ago and they guy painted them - a week later they started to flake. When I took the mirrors off as described above I realised why - they're very soft plastic / rubber.
