Is it possible to replace the speed alert in a TF executive with a trip computer? Does the trip computer have special sensors for fuel consumption?
Cheers

im not sure if this is "bad" info but im gonna tell u anyway. (forgive me if its bad)
hold down all 3 buttons when u start the car and it will turn into a fuel monitor. simple =) and u can turn off the speed alert and it will never bother u again

hey! i was at the wreckers today and there was a smashed up th there. inside there is the dash dial cover with teh 3 buttons and the trip computer. can that trip computer be swapped in where the speed alert is along with the newer dash cover? (on my tf that is) i think that's the question orignaly being asked?? i know it'll all fit - but will it work - that's what i want to know, any 1 had success doing this?
also the same car has power windows where mine doesn't, is all the wiring loom in place within my doors for me to throw in the power window electronics.. i scored offical mitsubishi tweeter mounts and got a pair of parabolics for $180. i'm as happy as a pig in ****.

no the center display (trip computer) will not work ive tried and as far as i know no there is no wiring there for power windows when you have wind ups.

Yes it might be possible to retrofit a trip computer from a TH...problem is you either need to be really good at auto-electrics, have heaps of time as well as wiring diagrams for both TE & TH or you will need to pay an autoelectrician quite a bit to get it done...
Much easier to do are power windows... a couple of people have done this including myself....you need door trims, switches, power window regulator and wiring loom...
