how do u get to the brake light in the parcel shelf??

If your just out to replace the light globe... pop the boot and u can get to it from underneath. just a lil twist and the globe holder should come right out.

are u sure i think ur on about the boot light, the only thing i can see from the boot thats part of the brake light in the parcel shelf is two screws and two wires going into it, no room to take it out or nething

so no one knows.....

in the older 3rd Gen's, like for example yours, they have the tail light located in the middle of the parcel shelf, they changed this in the TH's and put it at the top the the rear screen.

Anyway, to get to the light, i cant remember if u can jus change the globe by pullig out from the bottom of the shelf in the boot as mentioned in a previous post but if you need to take the whole light surround out u must remove the whole back seat and parcel shelf carpet.

Easy: just pull the bench of the seat out then undo all the bolts/screws holding the back of the seat in place, there should be 5 or 6 at the bottom and maybe 2 or 3 at the top. Pull the back of the seat out then pull the plastic plugs holding the shelf carpet out. then u have access to your light surrounding.

The two wires you see, twist the holder they go into, should work!

do u mean the two wires that go up into the brake light that u can see when u duck ur head into the boot and look up???
