Hey Guys,
I had my car in for a service.it makes this click noise and then tries to stall (sometimes succesful sometimes not) The Mechanic that done the service said it is a problemwith the ECU he said its frigged and it is a common problems amongst TR Magnas not sure if its second gen Magnas.A couple of people said get a Carbon Clean.But one Mechanic said it could stuff the engine,Another said it might move the carbon causing the engine to smoke for a while.Others say its fine.the odometer reads 225,000 ks not sure if its the first time around or not.Also when I bought the car it didnt have an Air Filter.now my questions.
1.Is the ecu a common problem with the Tr or second gen Magnas?(coz I think hes bull****tin me)
2.Carbon Clean Should I get it done with so many Ks on the clock?
3.Would a recon engine be better?(because this engine still sounds fine).
4.Would not having an Air FIlter in it cause problems with air flow causing the engine to try to stall?(it has an air filter now)but just wondering if it may have cause some kind of damage that may be affecting it now.

nah hes full of sh1t mine clicks before it stalls to
i just turn the idle up it seems to put itself down after about 3 months
just get a screwdriver and turn the idle up untill its at about 1000-1100rpms in park
