Hi,

I have a 99 TH executive...what's the easiest way to get keyless entry? Do i just have to buy a remote? Or don't the execs have keyless?

cheers

Yep, your car would have come with remotes originally. You can buy new ones from Mitsu (around $70 I think) and they can program them to your car for you.

your car will have keyless entry, all you need is the remote!

remotes are just under $55 and a good dealer should code it for you for nothing seeing as though the procedure is in the owners manual and no special equipment required. Dont know where you are but if your prepared to drive to Melton we can look after you at Rick Wolany Mitsubishi.

How sure are you guys? I looked up a 99 TH on redbook and it didnt mention keyless entry. I was just given three normal keys when i bought it.

Thanks

God, $45.00 to reprogram  , criminals, i'll do it for $25 lol just kidding. Thats crap, it's like 30 seconds work....but still , i know those stealerships dont miss you. I paid $60.00 for a remote a year and a half ago. It's an item you often see come up on ebay for prety cheap. If you have gone this long without a remote it might be worth waiting just a bit longer and keep your eyes open.

The TE onwards has had keyless entry

the TH should be a Green and Red Buttoned Remote

they are around $60

$45 to programme far out, we are cheap compared to that lol

Holy cow! Places around here do it for free, when you buy the remote. And yes, echoing the others, all third gens had keyless entry as standard - from TE onwards.

BTW, you can get non-offical Mitsubishi remotes at $40.00 or less from what I have heard is the same thing. It only if you got the manual to follow instructions on how to set it.

My Mitsubishi dealer, did the programming for me FOC and their service is good. If they charge you for it, please launch a complain. that is really not service and not professional at all.

how do you program the remote?
Turn the key to 'on' and back to 'acc' rapidly 3 times, leaving it on 'on' the third time. Hit the button on the remote. Done. Make sure if you have more than one remote, you need to do them all at the same time.
