Heya all,

Pioneer deck is working great. My only gripe is that lately ive noticed that the volume of it seems to change on its own. As in Im not touching the deck, and its not changing volume settings, but the volume is increasing and decreasing.

Its a tad annoying but I can live with it. Though if anyone has an answer for it Id love to hear it.

thanks.

Sounds like an Alternator problem...

As in I might have to buy a new altenator?

Oh well. >_<

Also sounds like it could be a weak connection somewhere, are you powering your speakers through amps?
I'd check:
Ground wires
Speakers wires
RCA leads

IF any of these are loose they could be causing contact problems, eg. go over some rough road and it makes a better connection then loses it again.

Does the deck have a Mic on it ?? My VDO Dayton did and it adjusted the sound according to the road noise the Mic heard ???

my deck has asl (auto sound leveling) means the volume changes when the environment changes so u have music thats the same level compared to everything else.. if that makes sense

:bump:

Was there one concrete solution for this? Ie: bad connection, stuffed deck?

I've been noticing it alot lately also. I'm pretty sure my alternator is fine. If that was the problem though wouldn't it take power away from everything, and shut the deck off, not just decrease the volume?

I didnt realise this was still around.

My decks the Pioneer DEH-P 7750 or something. Cant completely remember it.

Anyways I went to my mechanic and asked him about it, he told me it wasnt the altenator because that should be fine. So I took another car enthusiast for a drive in my car to see if he could hear what I was hearing.

He could, so he suggested it be a setting on the deck. Because I had it on custom I played with the technical settings and after getting rid of one of them, it was gone! I dont get it anymore. So now it sounds great.
