Hi Everyone, I know the whole Magna ECU thing has been done to death but I have a question for ya all.
These dudes claim to be selling the greddy Emanage for $269 USD new

Is that all you need (plus maybe a wiring harness + dyno tune) or are there more parts to buy?
Anyone know a good greddy tuner in Sydney and is it still like $300-600 for a proper dyno tune these days?

US$ -> AU$ + shipping and it's probably not all that much cheaper than buying one over here, plus you need the injection and ignition harness for it to be worthwhile - add about $100 each for those if purchased in Aus.
Check with anthony on these forums but from memory he can sell you a emanage and both harnesses for around $700.
I've been hunting around for someone in Brisbane to fit and tune to my TJII, and out of about 1 dozen workshops which advertise "performance dyno tuning" only 4 were even willing to talk to me, and 2 wanted over a grand to fit and tune (needless to say they quoted that because they really couldn't be f*cked working on a magna).
Haven't got mine fitted yet - waiting on some other mods to arrive, so I can't tell you how worthwile they are - but by all accounts they give good results. But it's like anything - it'll need to be tuned well to get best results.
Based on my experience - I'd recommend talking to / visiting some performance shops and getting a feel for what systems ppl are tuning, what they've tuned magnas with (if anything) and what they charge for fitting and tuning of the varios piggybacks available.

Even here in australia you can pick them up quite cheap now, i bought mine about 2 years ago $929 for the unit and ignition and injection harness. Now i have seen main units for mayb $399 and $40 for the harness. I mean it seems cheap but once u add install ($200) and tuning ($300+) your still lookin at around 1k. But still thats not bad
