prolly wouldnt work too well on a magna anyway, they don't like swirling air at all do they?

Yeah, they don't but it looks like it sites after the air flow metre. Swirling air is better for mixing, just not for air metres like in Magnas and not the best for flowing up pipes.

I reckon it might be more of a hinderance than anything.

Ahh Marketing, show a heap of great results sell a heap of crap and if it doesn't do anything well it must be you.

Turbulence inside the combustion chamber is good.
Hell knows how sticking this that far up your intake achieves that though.
I'm sceptical.

Yeah, it's past the air flow meter and swirling for fuel mixing is good but it still sounds dodgy. It mentions having another one before the air filter = bad.

yer, have a search for "hyclone", i posted a topic a bit back, and asked the same sorta question

i never got around to 'trialing' them tho :(

Been posted before. These things are bad. They wont do anything, remember the Air intake on a mitsu needs to be straight, swirling it is only going to cause problems.

i thought they said the swirling was somehow achieved after the MAS ?

oh well, i cant say iv got n e knowledge on these things

These things do work. I was gien one for my old verada which i sold with it not thinking i would get another. it goes just before the TB so there is no turbulance at the mas.
My verada picked up about 60 + km per tank and i noticed going up hills required less throttle.
On the same token I had on in my wife's car and it made no difference. Perhaps the car being brand new at the time had something to do with this

the mechanic says it works and MiG's worse thing to say was "i am sceptical", sounds good enough to me :D :D :D
just kiddin MiG, you just seem to have all the know hows when it comes to shooting down someones not so great idea :D :D

Cheers,
Cam.

i've heard of people with these saying they work, no bad reports yet...

i cant see why they wouldn't, its not going to hinder the flow... and it goes after the MAF, so thats sweet... the theory that they give makes sense.... and seeing as Mig isnt going ape shit.. it must be ok! :D

Someone on another forum said they are more economical cause they reduce the amount of fuel being used but looses power.

LOL, I'm not going ape shit because it's too iffy. I don't think it will work, but I don't have very much to base that on. I won't go ape shit unless I'm on solid ground. :)
I know SFA compared to what there is to know.

The biggest reason I'm sceptical is because I can't see how the vortex is meant to stay effective once it enters the plenum and then splits up into individual runners.

Yeah, I reckon that there's a chance that it decreases the velocity of the air so the furthest most cylinders might not get as much air as they should.
