just spent 40 odd minutes doing a photochop, even got the street torque stickers down to a fine art, following the lines of the 380, colour was amost spot on when compairing with the real booya, wheels and right hight, shadows and everything was spot on, looked real - then WENT TO CLICK SAVE IN PHOTOSHOP CS

- CRAsh "this program needs to end now" :rant:

Booya: the strips arnt something id go for there, i would say make your own unique striping, say, down the middle of the car? or even from the rear taillights across the side down the bottom of the bonnet? just a few ideas. i mean dont get me wrong the strips DO LOOK GOOD but are a complete copy of fords, pretty noticable.

The GTP is pissweak though! :bowrofl: Fpv or some aftermarket guys could just up the grunt of the F6 typhoon and literally blow (sorry for the pun) every aussie built car away. lol

nodz my mate's f6 is nuts... slight tunning a 3 inch exhaust (cat back), increased PSI, blow off valve good for 420rwhp :o

I agree the Typhoon with a Bit of tweaking would be a serious performance car..

yeah defenitly, its lines would be all stuffed up if it had a ironing board spoiler on it, lip spoiler looks hot tho!

this is probably the most exterior mods i would do with this car, maybe go for different mags, but otherwise, 18 or 19" mags and lowering.. its all the car needs!

I am a photochopper myself, but since I do mainly print reproduction stuff for long hours, so I usually try and stay away from that damn program at home as much as possible. My main talents are fixing up defects in the shot - like bad shadows, colour balance, flare etc.

Now Benny boy, only because it is you (max respect) I am going to the site to download the high res pic so I can email it to you.

Now, just to prove this to you, it's about 2MB and I am stuck on crappy dial-up!
It's a one time only thing, so I wanna see this car chopped hard, fully worked and ready to roll.

yuk. The 2 tone over the roof doesn't do it for me. Try big 5spoke mags ( not chrome ), 2 tone the bottom, a wing ( not a stupid GT wing ). The EVO hood looked good on one of the previous chops mabey even a EVO front bar would be good. Cop car looks sweeeet dood, nice chop by all.

Booya.... get to and do High-Rez version of the GT. Love the concept, hurry up!

Ringa: Nice work. Understated look. Would have been nice to see some different rims... try Lenso Concept 5's.... they are one of my faves.

Heydude: it's too dark to show detail. try going (in photoshop) Image > Apply Image > Screen and play with the % figure until it lightens a bit. I do like the concept... very Ego/Watchme

Blackjack: *DROOL* - Awesome colour, it's like a straight gold with lemon pearl.... it screams "Look at me" while still looking somewhat prestige. Nice choice of rim, although I think this car really needs a flat-faced rim if you go for that style - 5 or 6 spoke satin/chrome. Nice cooler too....

380 in your world.... well I was blown away by this. Those wheels are awesome, even though the spokes are thin, they are 'doubles" and give the impression of being thicker than they are. A change in paint colour is in order oth this one now... nice bright solid colour.

Luke: Quality work from you that I expect now. Pimped is great, kinda has a Merc flavour to it. Big dished 20's will do that to a black car I guess. I suppose you'd call it Ego's car if he came from the North Shore instead of the Shire....

Dub wasn't really my taste, although it's definitley to style and the quality of your work is great.

The Black bonnetted VRX is sex... just try a different body colour for me.. yellow, more orange than that Burn Sienna colour... Pink even. Bright and ballsy please! I don't think the OZ Superleggra's (am I right?) suit it at all.

The cop car is inspired work. You forgot one thing tho... cop cars *usually* (NSW anyway) steel wheels, although I do see some XR8 HP cars with alloys....

DIM: Buy photoshop mate. Then I really wanna see your results! Nice work. Rims are nice, feel a bit thin on that car for me though.

Jellico: Coupe's are hard to do. It doesn't look right, especially in the door (did you just stretch it longer?) but the concept is good. Maybe a colour change for the pint would be good too, just change the hue in Photoshop. Dark Metallic Green maybe?

TimE: great chop, but yes it is suffering from Ford Blueprint Blueitis! That is one of the colours I am considering putting on the TF after the hail is fixed, so going that colour isn't a bad thing. Try a dark red (not maroon, you'll make it look like an EB-EF Falcon then), just go red and dirty it up with a bit of black (15% or so)

This was a quick chop about 40 mins - 1 hour, just some subtle mods, nothing over the top. A couple of vents, smoothed it out (note no door handles or petrol cap) bigger wheels and dropped on it arse. :D

That bonnet looks heaps better with the bad boy effect (OR BA falcon as i know someone will say sooner or later) I was gonna do that with carbon fibre eye lids but id just wasn't workin for me, wanted to keep it smooth, otherwise a nice chop there mate, i like that vent on the front bar

You've made a totally valid point that encompasses a lot of what has been said of the 380 over the last few weeks. Why doesn't it have a MIVEC engine? Why isn't it AWD? Why doesn't it have a quad cam bloody V8 under the bonnet? Simple.....MONEY.

MMAL have done a fantastic job on a limited budget. I, for one, salute them! :bowdown:

There is a coupe version of 380 (PS41) it is called a Eclipse. There is plans to make a AWD and turbo version of it.

The next Eclipse will be based off the US Galant platform, so yeah, theoretically it could be done.

They could certainly get the previous year's tooling from the states and make it fit what they have now. Design new bumpers and interior and bolt it all together.

Just remember, Toyota bought old tooling from the states also and called it the Avalon. lol

The GIMP is an open source image editor. It usually comes with most Linux distributions.

I believe there is a version for Windows.

heres my efforts. though it kinda does look like thugdouts, ive basically gotten his idea and taken it further! mods are:
chopped roof
2 door conversion
wideboy
modified bonnet
eyelids
changed colour to black
chrome grille
extended bodykit
tinted windows
deep dished the wheels further
shaved off fuel filler cap

think that sums it up

i hope someone from mitsu is watching this thread as there are some really good modifications on here they can harness, i.e. this 2 door conversion thing were all getting into.

these cars look awesome (specially yours [WTCHME]) and i hope its only a matter of months before theres one on the road like that!

change colour
lowered
Z3 style vent.

also i wanted to know hot to do proper photochop.
