it's true it's not who you know but what you know.
Today i was driving through town , at work time, LOL. My friend form Mitsubishi calls, the one who hellped me with all my cars, and asks me to come in and see him. So i turn up and we take a drive to a wearhouse where mitsi store their cars, hiding in a corner under covers was a white 380 lx and a 380VRX in blue. My jaw almost dropped. not long after that he precided to take out the car keys to the LX and asked if i wanted a drive. I ALMOST **** my pant as he said that.
WHAT CAN i say,
THE car is very nice, you can definatly tell the extra power is there, although not as much as you would expect. BUT the torque of the thing rocks, you can just about pull away from most things in 5th. The fly by wire is a littlel slow and in between gear changes does not respond quick enough so you get over run and it takes away form the feel of the engine a little.
The gearbox is stilll a bit notchy, not as refined as expected and the clutch is heavier with less throw.
The interior is nice and well finished off, i like the new stearing wheel and the car feels very precise, almost a point and shoot type afair. It really goes wher you want it.
The ride compeared to my Tl is a lot stiffer, ther is less body roll and the car sits firmer on the road, this might not be too apealing to families.
The door handels do feel flimsy but the doors shut willt a nice thud and the whole car has a nice solid feel about it. It is well finished off.
I am not a big fan of the big ASSS the car has, but it will grow on people.
The car stops too, the breaks ar definatly better and i notice that the ABS does not tend to overpower the pedal as the TL does.
The cabin is spacious and comfertable with virtually the same type of seat as the TL.
I like the controlls for audio on the stearing wheel and the stereo sounds great, very bassy.
Over all i only had the car for 30mins and it's very hush hush, but it was soooo much fun.
Anyway i have to run cos i'm still at work.
will make more coments later.
AND REMEMBER if anyone asks it never happend. :D :D
don't mock my spelling i'm in a rush

I'm guessing you mean the opposite, hence how you got to drive a 380. Nevertheless that's pretty cool getting a sneaky peak test drive. :shhhh: :shifty:

I drove 2 380's (base model and VRX) both manuals, 5 weeks ago and most of what you say i agree with.

Dam my spelling is shocking, not that I read it again. OPPS, and yes I mean it's who you know and now what you know, like I said I was in a rush.
Well I still can't stop smiling. I really hope mitsi does well with this car, however I must admit that it may be hard to fit in into today market, not that it's a bad car, but because Falcon and Commodore is already so well established.
Saying that is would still buy one. The car is a very nice finished and spacious car, a lot more rear leg room the my TL. I also like the visibility, I think that the windscreen is a bit lower or the seats higher but visibility seamed improved.
The boot too is taller then the old magna so you can fit in more stuff, always good when you have a bub. I miss the seamless windows, but I think having the new doors improves rigidity of the whole car. The car is dam quiet too, I almost stalled it once, and I went to start the motor only to realize that it's still on, thanks to the tacho.
Price is ok, but still out of my range for now, I will have to wait for some years. It's a pity that the motor for the VRX is the same for all, a power figure that of the Rallyart would be nice. Oh well hopefully they will still bring out an AWD version down the track.
One think I did not like is the fly by wire; it's just not the same. I much prefer cable, a lot more response.
For all those that haven't as yet driven one, when it's officially launched go and have a drive.

Fly by Wire is an Electronic Accelerator.. No Cables involved Just a Computer and Sensors..
You answered my Questions... The Stereo is Bassy so that means they have not changed the audio capabilites from the Magna.. good I am now pleased..

but honestly do you really care what the stocko system sounds like? If i was looking at buying the car thats one of the last things i would be looking at, as the speakers are all going to be replaced anyway, with the only exception being perhaps the 6x9's, saving me a whopping $100 or so!

No if a Stock systems Sounds good it is an indication of Cabin Acoustics..
If it sounds bad then the car is bound to have poor cabin acoustics and will need major work done on it to be satisfactory.. thats all..
