Hi all, I’ve got a Magna TS executive 2.4 liter, until yesterday I was trying to convince my brother to change the timing chain for me, not that I don’t know my self but I’m disabled, anyway yesterday all day the rattle noise was there, today in the afternoon, as soon as I started the engine I didn’t hear it, I think to my self, yeah right soon as the engine oil looses it’s thickness it will start again. I waited until the engine warmed up, and then when I arrived at the house again I couldn’t hear it.

So what is going on, what is happening I need help with this one please…???

Harsh mate.

Did the chain only make a rattle that day only? Or has it been doing it for a while? I'm thinking if it's been a regular thing that it's a bit strange that the sound disappeared, but, I would not be complaining. But if it still continues soon, I'd replace the chain.

Also, do you mean 2.6 ltr?
