Hey boys and girls,

It's got to the stage where I have enough money and enough else is done to think about lowering my car. However, I still want to be able to drive around without having to respray my front bumper or leave the best part of my sump at the top of a ramp or back at an obscenely large speed bump or not get my sushi fix because I can't get into the car park.

What I'd love, is a few posts from people with lows or superlows or both and how they go taking on the suburban terrain. Scraping? Bumping? None at all? Damage?

Just generally, do you have to take care of it all the time or just sometimes? Are there places you just can't go as a result of having a good looking car? Is it worth sending those seriously ugly abominations of wheel arch gaps back into the depths of wheel arch gap hell to free the angels of low riding heaven?

Thanks heaps,

Danno

Use the search feature of the forums.

Superlows are fine unless:

a.) you have a 3.0L with pacemaker extractors.
b.) you have a ralliart with the extra front lip (splitter).

yea I did search, not a lot i could find... heaps on looks and prices but not a lot on clearance.

Any other comments? I'd love some feedback!
Cheers,

well i got lovell super lows all round i didnt find it a ruff ride at all, clearance wasnt an issue with no body kit

then when i got my 18's with 235's i found it much more bumpy but thats to me expected, i also got my body kit fitted not long after and clearance still isnt aint issue in most cases... u just need to know how to drive it, in my area we have some pretty deep spoon drains and stuff and its not an issue as long as u drive an "s" over them.

the only place i really struggle is the last speed hump at work which higher than the rest:S ... kinda embarrassing when ur manager laughs at u for scraping the whole middle skirts on a speed hump BAH lol

my oppinion is DO IT :D u wont regret it if u have no body kit u wont scrape ever... if u do have one then just be careful and ull be fine no worries;)

I had superlows on my last TE and it generally was'nt a problem, but then I did'nt have a bodykit either, it sometimes would scrape the exhaust at the back when leaving carparks and driveways. But I would just stick with lows if you have a bodykit and you should have no probs.
They ride really well with lowered springs in them, excellent cornering, you do feel more bumps but that is to be expected, it's not nasty though, and the handling and looks outweighs it easily.
