Happened to be driving past Nat Caps in Braddon, Canberra, yesterday and noticed they had 2 380s coming off the truck. One was a beige/gold base model, which I couldn't look at because the salesmen were out driving it, and a black VR-X. Looks smaller then the 3rd Gen, but isn't. Any fears of an ugly face I think should be put to rest, the rear is the end that I feel needs time to grow on me. Interior looks good while the boot looks smaller. Couple of interesting things I noticed in my 5 minute look. At least 2 different, but very similar, taillights. The lower spec cars appear to have the rear blinker at the bottom corner of the lamp while the upper spec, at least on the VR-X, has the blnker on the outer edge. At first glance it looks like there is no blinker. Also the VR-X taillights are extended at the top to blend in with the rear spoiler, very slick. From the quick look I had, I'm sort of impressed. Just not sure if it would suit me.

Reports say no and the salesman said that there will not be a wagon. Apparently the current wagon barely sells except to fleets and private buyers who are either on a tight budget or won't buy from Ford or Holden. Which might actaully preserve the resale of my car, since Verada wagons are pretty rare. :doubt:

That's correct, there will be no wagon. Holden is also not doing a wagon for its upcoming VE Commodore (and the current Camry already doesn't come in a wagon). They can't compete in sales with the SUV "revolution".
BTW: Thank you Killbilly for shutting down my last thread almost immediately. Why?? Beware, as other in this club have noted recently, the AMC Gestapo walk among us.

Wagons may be a thing of the past.

Mitsubishi have the Lancer wagon, Outlander, Challenger and Pajero, so I think a 380 wagon isn't really required... they wouldn't sell many anyway.

Its a shame...there is still a market for wagons, especially in business, and they are a very practical car. Outlander/lancer wagons are too small....challenger/pajero wagons are too big and expensive to run.

Went round to the local mitsu dealer today (todays sunday - closed) to have a quick look at what they have in stock in the likes of Tj's and Tl's (nothing exiting of coarse) wondered right round the back to try and find any 380's. didnt see any, but god knows, if i was them i'd lock it up in the garage until office hours. I've got to get in touch with my mate over there too see when exactly they come in.

I finally got around to going to Sales and having a look at our 380 today.
Ours is under lock and key in a seperate showroom.
had a sit and a play with a few things in it.
Very nice, the rear needs to grow on me, other then that it looks and feels great.
I'm waiting for the other demo to turn up so I can take that for a drive.
The boot entry is smaller which could make it harder to get things in it.
other then that on looks and features I couldn't knock it.

Saw a truck load of mostly blue 380 VRX's today. :o
Looks like the nearest showroom just got them in, noticed it underneath the banner covering the windows.

Why would you not build a wagon???
They have to be one of the most functional cars on the road!!
And the best looking :D

well for adelaiude ppl australian motors mprphet vale has 3 including a black GT in the show room fully unveiled ...... dunno why the other places have them covered up ...
the reason they havnt put them outside in the yard yet is because officially the 380 hasnt been released for sale so until then they stay inside

Well the one at Aus Motors at Wayville isn't covered, it's just that the windows of the showroom are blocked out (mostly)
I might go in to have a look tomorrow.

Yeah i went to a dealer launch tonight and noticed this, only a small detail but when you have a pram like we do to carry around this plus the high loading lip could be a pain. Other than that very impressed with the car overall.
