Hello people, I have a engine miss in my verada even though the dizzy cap, leads & plugs have all been replaced?.. all plugs look to be burning nice and grey appart from cylinder 2 which is running a bit blacker than all the others. The miss is more apparent if you are going up hill or loading the car in any way

mmmmmmmmm 2nd running rich, is it the knock sensor retarting the timing or a miss, i'd prob take this one to mitsu and i'd probs check your air filter and for good measure get most thing cleaned ie injectors

if plug is black it can cause a missfire .....get your injectors flow tested and cleaned

maybe it is the injectors to, the damn thing uses so much fuel (400k per tank on HIGHWAY) & has the power output of a lawn mower.

I would say it's NOT as powerful as a well tuned 4cyl magna =-(.... IM GELOUS of all the 4cyl magnas that zip past here. It needs to pull it's head in REAL SOON or I will swap it for a VN LOL =-)

check compression on that cylinder, a burnt valve is not uncommon, if thats ok get the injector tested. a black plug is usually caused by overfuelling

Get load tests done on each cylinder, if not available, do the comp test, if all ok, start at injectors, get the injectors all flow tested and properly cleaned. C
ould be ECU, have seen the transistor that fires an injector play up, also check the connectins for corrosion.
While the injectors are off, replace the injector seals also.
Check Vacumm leaks
Be systematic, do not get tunnel vision, ie do not be certain one area is in fault when it tests ok as another area you have not even thought of could be the problem
