I took a small Vid of my Subs in action..

Digital Cams do not like Bass so it sounds all distorted.. So Please keep the volume Down..
and has a nasty spike at the beginning I could not edit out..

I am not pushing the subs at all, They just sound like they are distorting, they only have about 50 W RMS going through them in the Vid, Volume was way down on the deck..

Yes the Cones do appear purple thanks to a Pair of Color Changing Neons not Shown in the Pick. ( They were from Jay car, I borrowed them from a friend to shoot the Video)

... I just used my web cam to shoot a small Video ( I used a USB Extension cable)...
But the Bass shakes the lense so bad you see nothing but static..
Trying to shoot a Video of Subs nobody has seen or heard of before is quite tricky...

dood they sound bloody awesome even if ya reckon its a crap vid. i know your obsession with magnat and all, but how much do those subs retail at? becuase there v v nice!

Retail $299 Each.. That was 5 Years ago.

I got mine for $250 each as I ordered the 10 inch subs from Magnat and they told me it was a 6 Week wait but I could have the 12 inches for the Price of the 10's
so I said Deal... These are Magnats 2nd Bottom of the Range... So you can imagine what their Premuim Gear is like...


Most of the Car audio Pro's have never heard of Magnat and think they are some Pov Brand but when I show them what they can do they quickly say " Damn they are just as good as Boston or Eclipse" I had one guy have his eyes pop out when he saw the Chunky Rubber surround...
They are a True Long throw Woofer Capable of 1.5 inches of Excursion..


They have re-designed the XTC Subs and the New ones have a Plain Dustcap with Magnat Written on them...
If you are after a True Sub that is different from Main stream, Magnat will not let you down..

so would could i buy instaed of 2 clarion 12" subs @ 300w each - bout $99 each (bout $200 total which is what im budgeting for subs)

what could i buy in the magnat range for about $200? and would it be better quality then the 2 clarions?

just seeing my options as those magnat subs sound hot :P

This is Magnat's Bottom of the Range 12 inch sub.. Called the Bullpower 300.. I have one of these sitting in the Garage and use it for when I want to Crank the Bass loud and not worry about Blowing it up.. 2 Years ago they were $130..

I will wait for an E-mail forom the Magnat Rep.. If he has some in stock, He can calculate Freight Straight to your door..
They use to have Dealers but have found it easier to go factory direct..

dood im very interested in these subs, ill check out details later about them as im at school atm.

but for that price gee they sound tempting.

even if the subs i choose are bottom end, PPFF they still sound good!

but i am sticking to a (give or take a few) $200 budget. so yeah im very interested
