hey guys, i was just cleaning the car then i noticed a green interior bulb a mate gave me so i thought id chuck it in and see how it looked, well, ill cut it short, it was to big, but some where along the line some things happened and now, i have no interior lighting, doors, roof, boot etc..., the trip computer keeps resetting itself everytime the car is turned off, so i turn it on and it chokes and then dies, and ive got none of the other little things like the headlight left on signal and some other little things, but im dont know whats wrong, i checked all the fuses and none of em ar blown, the only electrics i touched was the interior light, so im guessing its linked to that, but all these things from just that? anyways, any help greatly appreciated,

are you sure you checked ALL the fuses and NONe are blown. when they are blown its only like a 1-3mm break so just saying you might want to check again as you may of missed it.


besides that i have no idea

the higher wattage of the bulb probebly would blow wire but maybe burnt out a circuit somwhere........and theres a chance that all the lights are linked into one cable or circuit thats melted :doubt:
i dont really have a clue whats wrong with the trip meter though :confused:

same thing happened to me and as tuff tr said check all the fuse. especially the one that has a sligh symbol on it. theres to fuse boxs. one next to the accelerator and one in the engine bay.

Check the tail lights, not the brake lights justr the tail lights, if there blown then the inteior dash fuse is blown cuz there on the same fuse

big thatnks to ashneel, for pointing out theres a fuse box in the engine bay, which i totally forgot about, and for also making me feel like a complete tool :bowrofl: yeh, the interior light fuse was absolutly toasted, funny how just that can cause the car to choke and splutter and die, but yeh shes all good now, thanks guys.... i owe you all a beer
