Hey guys. I currently have CSA Reactors (15inch) on my car which i want to get rid of and upgrade to 18inch. I was thinking about the Ford Typhoon wheels, they are 5 stud but im worried about offset because its a RWD car. Some wheels ive seen around said they could fit fords/mitsu's/nissans etc etc. so does anyone know how much a set of typhoons would cost (ball park figure) and if they would fit or not...man they would look awesome on a magna

got pics ?????

they make rims in different offsets, u just ask yur wheel place for the right one,
an 18inch rim are usually around $250 or so each, about the same for the rubber aswell

i just checked the ford forums cause i wanted to see how much theyre selling the BA XR8 18" rims for second hand and it seems to me that it could be better that you just go for something new and from a tyre joint.

im going to call Donnellans now for a quote on ROH Fury in 17" and 18" as well as Adrenaline Modulars in 18" with tyres.... probably end up cheaper.

I've heard that AU/BA Falcons have front wheel drive offset so they should fit ok.

Ford (FPV) won't sell these without a Typhoon VIN, your only chance would be if someone sold these from a writeoff - I would doubt f6 owners would change mags when they look that good!

ahh reason i ask is because my dads got a GTP and we were down there one day getting it serviced and i saw a hilux having typhoons fitted. might have to keep a look out for a wrecked one aye?

Post up the Typhoon Mags, then we can hunt down a Replacement or a Like Replica..

I mean my AMG Akuza's are a Genetic replica for OZ Vela Rims worth twice as much and look identical so may be there is an aftermarket clone for the ones you want..

I'm sure FPV would be interested to hear from you about any particulars that you could provide on that one.

expect to pay between $300-500 per rim...... esp since they are special edition OEM Ford/FPV.

I'm after mk2 BA xr8 17' rims because I like the look. Phoned ford today and they quoted $580... each, no tires, no valve stems, no gold watch, no free car: just a rim.

GT 18's are $750 each and you can only buy them if you get an XR8 or GT.

The typhoons may have a similar story attached: imagine how much they'd be...

Second hand, the ones I'm after are pretty cheap, as everyone wants to upgrade their xr8 to 18's and the factory 18's option is $2000 more so they go custom instead. Second hand would be the way to go.

or just forget about them all together and get something else :D

http://www.speedywheels.com.au/specials.htm - plus i got a quote yesterday for lite-7s at 190 a wheel in 18x7 which he said should fit the magna... and 260 for the gold envys in 18inch... much more reasonable price and theyre not a bad rim.

failing that theres a special on at bob janes on AMG Vortex rims in 18"... 1590 with brand new 235 Falken rubber. I was going to get them for the gf but she didnt want any rims for her car.... yet
