umm yeah im in the same boat as your photographer, just got some grey seats yesterday and i want to use the septone or vht vynal dye. i wouldn't mind it if some people shared there experiances with this stuff if anyone has used this before. if not, meh, im gonna buy it anyway and spray the seats tonight, so ill post up a pic or two of how it all came up and if its worth getting this product.

loll, ahhhh, dont have time, ill see if my mum has some vynal lying around i can use it on first (shes into sewing and the like so shes bound to have some somewhere)
i would love to go wreckers but with things changing at home now its even more unlikely ill be able to go.
but im sure this spraying vynal thing shouldnt be to hard................i hope

I thought because its a dye you can only change it to a similar shade/darkness.. I dont think you could get a grey to go to a beige like that? You would need to coat it with some kind of paint. Correct me if Im wrong tho..

yer i was readin on another forum somewhere, that to get a totally different colour you spray it first with a simialr colour vynal dye then spray that with normal paint, dont dont how it will turn out??

well io think u would just need THICK as layers, but ive never paintedvinyl before so i woudlknt kno
better off getting the steering wheel leather clad (dont cost much) in that colour coz it will wear away if its just dye, and look like poo
ive decided to go black/charcoal on my interior, easy to keep clean, easy to chagne grey to black/charcoal, gunna go for the BMW look about my interior (chrome bits, black, matte silver and white lights)

I think I'd be goin down the wreckers for a coupla stuffed (cheap or free) magna bits to practice on b4 I attacked the car. Once you start, It's expensive goin back. :D

Dano about the colour... but i reckon it looks sweet overall.. a change from the standard black.. a blue or green would look mad wit the silver i rekon

i wouldnt worry ALOT about test peices first. theres nothing more to it then ordinary paint.
dont spray to close
allow good drying time
and you cant go wrong
but hey cant hurt to practice.
im just trying to say, dont fret to hard, it is an easy job
