well after taking my LED's to school to figure out what the problem was, it was s simple case of reversed polaritys
it was embarrsing to say the least.
anyway here are some before, in progress, and finished shots, for anyone who has a TR and would like to undertake this themselves
Before (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/dodgeviper89/leddddd.jpg)
In Progress 1 (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/dodgeviper89/LEDphotos012.jpg)
In Progress 2 (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/dodgeviper89/zoemodel026.jpg)
Finished! (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/dodgeviper89/LED021.jpg)
Finished! 2 (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/dodgeviper89/LED019.jpg)
now some good points and bad over the standard festoon.
good:
Provides a Super Cool white Light
teriffic light for back seat passengers
bad:
Light for driver and passenger are pathetic to say the least, gives virtually no light to driver or passenger
well the final pics dont do it justice, it just looks so mad finally being in now!
oh and p.s. if i'd have known about the LED's in the festoon shaped bulb i would of just changed bulbs :doubt: (Magnat style)

I wonder how long you will last until you get defected for LED's around the number plate ;) (unless they're white of course)
Good to hear that you've finished it though

Looks cool, the only downside as u have mentioned was not enough light for passangers. Think that is wasted. Is it legal to do led round the number plates? Looks to tacky for me.
good effort.

im sure its legal?
and NO im not going to put tacky gay green or red LED's they will be WHITE ONLY.
fuzzlet, how much were the lights off ebay id love to get these, as you know the interior lighting is already poor but this has just made it a tad worse.

LEDS around the number plate could be defectable, im unsure, but replacing the lights with leds in the exact postion doesen give any logical reason for a defect..unless they give too much light and turns the number plate into just a mirror for cameras lol

yeah dont see why you'd want people to see your plate better, unless its custom, but i like the intiative you have shown, good work.

Well done Tuff TR!
I bought the LED bulb replacement thingies for mine - Blue LEDs in the front map lights, centre light (both from a Verada) and the rear wagon light.
Not as bright as white but I like it.

Hey Puck - are the ahh verada lights hard at all to wire in, im thinking about doing this to the car as the standard magna as pi$$ poor lighting.

No, it wasn't hard and that's saying something - I'm not very mechanically or electronically minded.
I bought the Verada centre light and front map lights from the wreckers.
You must get the mounting metal bracket as well as the lights - the bracket is different to the exec one. But the holes in the roof match up (centre & front).
For the front map lights, I just spliced into the existing wire going to the centre light using standard wire connector things from a hardware store.
Hardest thing was cutting the roof linning to make the centre hole bigger and to make a hole for the front lights. (one cut, and there aint no going back - gulp.) I tried a couple of different types of knives, but found a steak knife from the kitchen worked best (much to my wife's dismay).
Will be interesting to see what Fuzzlet's lights look like when he gets them.

whenever i can go wreckers i think i might try and get some of these lights. i mean the way you described it doesnt sound so bad, so heck why not give it a try.
of and do you have any pictures of the end result?
