Well i am getting the windows on the ralliart tinted tomorrow, and i need to decide how dark i want them. Sides will be 35% (legal) but i have pick either 35%, 20% or 15% for the rear screen. If the car was black, then the back would definatley be 15% but becuase it is white, would having a real dark rear screen (therefore also making the sides look darker) look ok with the white? Or would you guys suggest otherwise?? Also, is it possible to get the sunroof's glass tinted?? Mums mazda is and i find it alot better, especially if you leave the sunshade open during the day.. ill ask about that when i take it in tomorrow.
Any help re: what shades, need to decide by the morning, at this stage possibly going 35% sides, 15% rear..

15. 20 is illegal anyway so why not go farther with not that huge a visual difference. They can still test rear screens for opacity because the testing unit is in 2 pieces. Also don't forget that some factory glass is already tinted, so that is in addition to whatever film you are applying.

You can (although they dont advise it, its jus to save there arse on the very very slight chance it may crack) i have done my mates sun roof. You jus have to use the right film for the glass to keep that chance of glass crack-age to a minimum

its not going to make very little difference between 35%, 20% and 15% on the rear when u are already putting 35% on the doors, trust me. the reason is slightly technical and i cant be ****ed typing it for now but if you would like me to explain then just ask.

They are suppose to remove the original tint first...

I agree go darkest legally possible.
While on tinting. Whats a good place around Melbourne northern area [ for those who are in this area ]. Ive heard Tint Proff. is ok.
I know some of the place are 'class 1' window tinters. But what im concerned about is how good are they at pulling apart doors, trimmings, etc to get to the actual windows, and then putting it all together again. Especially electric windows.
If you want the car legal.
20% on back doors and rear window. 35% on front 2 doors.
If not.
20% all round.

dad had his ute done, with 35% on the side doors and 15% on the rear screen. Having the rear screen done darker, it somewhat make the rest look darker aswell.
Car has to be done so that it is legal.. living off 1 demerit point until july next year isnt worth risking lol

saw a car like this, i think i'd rather 35% on all the side windows, didnt like the look of 2 different tints.. anyway im going to go for the 35% on sides and 15% on rear screen.. doesnt matter what way i go, they will look better than they do now (cant stand untinted windowslol)
pics will come once its finished.. thanks for your help guys!! oh and not getting the sunroof done, they said they wouldn't recommend doing it, so thats staying the way it is
