Any one got instructions on how to replace the air con condensor / evaporator thingy.
Would be appreciated
Also anyone got a cd or service manual on cd or a website that contains one for the 3rd Gen 3 Litre engines in the te and tfs
well, what exactly are you replacing the condensor and the evaporator are two seperate items, the condensor is at the front of the car with the radiator, and the evaporator is under the dash somewhere (i'm not 100% sure where on some cars its just behind the glovebox others its low and behind the centre console under the dash, i have not done a magna before) but either way you will "legaly" need someone to recover the AC gas, and then need someone to fill with new gas.
If its the condensor that needs changing, its a simple job, if its an evaporator it can be a bit of a pain, the evaporator will also be inside a black plastic box under the dash

Sorry its the condensor in front of the radiator..
Has no gas in it thats why wanna change it coz they did a test on it and found it was the reason the gas escaped and air con not working...
From what i can see its
remove thermo and ac fan from rad
remove rad
remove the ac piping
remove the condensor and replace
Is there anyways to test this condensor before installing it to see if it has leaks or only way to find out is to install it
the only way to test the condensor for leaks is to have to A/C system regassed and filled with a fluro dye, then if it leaks out, the dye can be seen with a UV light.
I know when i repaired My TS, i did not actually have to take the fans off the radiator, i just left them on and pulled the it all out in one go, its not a hard job at all,

As with and refrigeration equipment you can connect manometer, pump some air inside and see if pressure going down. If it does, then leak can be located by soap. Problem what you have - if you are talking about out of car test, you need somehow close entry/exit piping.
