Hi Guys, Can anyone help me I have a problem with my KH Verada Wagon the TCL orange dash light and the check engine light come on after I have been driving for a while when the engine has been switched off and then restarted it goes away but they come back??? :rant:

I have been to Mitsubishi and Ultra Tune both have come up with the same code being 71
has anyone have any experience with this kind off error? I know if I take my car to one of these dealers it will cost me an arm and a leg even for something small! :doubt:

Code No. 71 ECU communication circuit system Probable cause
This DTC is output if an error is detected in the communication contents because
of an open or short circuit in the serial communication circuit between the TCL-ECU
and the ECU, a malfunction of ECU and a defective shielding of the shield wire.

Straight from the workshop manual, looks like you may have to get a dealer/auto elec to look at this problem.
