Just bought a Verada and the history is a little unknown (bush RACQ garage and service book not filled), so i'm going to check and change alot of things, my question being:
Has anyone done the timing belt change themselves? and does anyone have a full workshop manual on a CD. I don't wan't to buy a haynes manual as I find they are a bit basic.
Cheers

And what is this belt tensioning tool that is talked of, I have changed timing belts on other cars and have not come across one?

The manual was deleted from these forums for legal reasons from memory.. there might be a copy floating around somewhere but not too sure. There is a site somewhere I think.
But yeah, pretty hard job changing a timing belt, has to be done 100% right

Thanks, I guessed it would be fairly hard, but I'll give it a go! Does anyone have an electronic copy of the factory workshop manual?

Unless you know what you are doing and have the right tensioning tool leave it to a mechanic as you will at very least be up for a waterpump soon and at worst you will be up for a pair of heads

I was going to change the water pump and idler pully bearings etc at the same time, I have changed numerous timing belts on cars before and I know that east west engines are a pain in the ass to do (unless you involve Mr angle grinder he he).
I've never had to use a SST to set the tention on a timing belt before, thats why I was after a factory workshop manual. So anyone have one?
Cheers
