i aint baggin ya or anything....
i'm sure some could help you out here...
but i reckon those shocks are pretty good... they handle very well and last a long time...
whether this is true....... DUNNO... lol
lol. i know its dumb, just these shocks look way different to my old ones...
part number is 8000-1191. The reason im wondering about them is because i thought only coilovers had coils on the outside of the shock.

I think what he means is with coilovers the spring is actually quite narrow and shorter then normal springs and are really close to the shock absorber pin. In the case of the wagon, the spring is actually totally seperate from the shock absorber itself.

mcpherson struts have springs around the outside, most old cars had seperate springs and struts, spring either being leaf or coil
the old cars are the reason chopped springs have a bad name, because the spring WOULD litteraly fall out if over extended. where as mcpherson it just unseats then seats back in next bump.
they are koni reds ;)

Everyones a smart ass huh!. What i meant is that most of my friends have imports and have coilovers fitted and they r the only units i have seen with a spring and shock in the one unit. Where as the shock and spring on my car were seperate thats why i thought it was weird that the shock had a coil on it also.... But ty for ur smart ass comment. lol
