Well the other day i decided after weeks of saying i was gonna do it, i debadged the TF, it looks sweet and i shoulda done it ages ago.

Now the next thing is the pin stripes down the side.

Should i take em off or not?

Id like to take em off but i dont want it too look too bare.

Anyone else done this or did theirs come without the stripes. Does it look better/worse.

Cheers.

If your talking about the door protector strip things id be careful with taking them off as they've saved my door from many a dint from d1ckheads in carparks who slam open their door. Better bet is to colour code them mine came colour coded and looks good either way unless you bog it up your gonna be left with a indent or a rise might as well stick with the rise and protect your doors at the same time. Once you've colour coded them however you'll be constantly fixing them with touch up paint from when people hit em... i hate car parks!

Narh i dont mean those things.

Just above the door handles from the back to the front there are 2 thin stripes (grey in colour, i have a white car).

They are sorta a sticker kinda thing.

Go to a bodyshop and ask them for some free advice on how to remove them.

As for how it would look, get a decent photo up on here and get one of the Photoshop massive to clean them off for you.

hell yeah, get those god dammit things off as soon as ya can, u'll b amazed how much different u'r car will look afterwards, with the pin stripe on they meet all expectations of the stereotypical granny magna.
just leave ya car in the sun for half hour and peel away. the sun just helps the adhesive come off, then wipe residue off with any non harsh cleaner.

Just like you I am thinking whether to remove totally or PUT new ones on lol. However the last edge of the front magna is hard to duplicate due to some curve and not a straight line. Means if I redo stripes I have to slightly different.
What colours are yours?
Mine are silver stripes.

I am thinking of leaving it there for now. No rush to do anything for the car yet.

OK, firstly remove them immediately if you don't want to get bagged out.

To remove: Get a hair dryer and heat the strip. The strip will just peel off. Do it slowly moving the hairdyer along as ur peeling.

very easy.

k thx bi.

i took mine offf. i took me ages but it looks so much better. pinstripes look crap ir eckon on magnas. i just slowly peeled mine off but it kept breaking so i had to keep lifting the end of the strip up with a little scraper but it was worth it.

Did mine last week. I had to clean our other car that was getting sold that day so i left mine out in the sun for about 45min to n hour and they came straight off.
looks so much better imo.

There is another way. But I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a death wish or a very steady hand. Get a brand new razor blade and slowly take it off......it will generally glide through the sticky stuff and wont damage paint. Then just get some prepsol and take of residue.

If your still not happy, get some cut and polish it back :D
