Isolate that puppy with a C.A.I :D
I did that to a similar redline filter for my 1st gen. Turns out on a particular day I did a temperature test at idle, that the filter would have been sucking up air at 60+ degrees, as opposed to the 31 degree outside air temperature inside my box ontop of the carby.
Back on topic, your chrome air filter looks awesome :)

thanks for the comments guys :D
yeah the pressure regulator is an aftermarket one i bought off ebay that i have fitted on the return line to maintain pressure in the system.
regarding the cold air intake, i made this shroud out of a rubber chimnea stack seal from bunnings(sounds dodgy but it works well) u just cut the opening to the size u you want. then with some foam edging to help seal it against the bonnet. it is then getting maybe 90 % air from the bonnet scoop. i need to fix it properly though, either to the bonnet, or held in place by the return spring backet. atm it moves around slightly.
