I plan to try and do a Rice Mod for that fake Supercharger/Turbo Whine Sound..

Using a Siren Whistle, I plan to remove the First Intake Resonator Under the Snorkel and Using Some creative thinking install the Whistle so it will Blow on intake only..
So in theory it should Spool up in time with the Pressing of the Accelerator..

Why under the Snorkel, Cause if worst comes to worst the whistle will be stopped by the air filter and because the Whistle will suck in air there will be no contamination to the Intake Air..


Now I would like Constructive Opinions and Theories on why The Planned Mod wont work..
I am already aware this Mod is tacky and holds no performance Value but as I said it is a RICE mod... And Only a Theory... Not everyone can afford to Turbo or Charge a Magna

I mean they have those Turbo Tips which just add a Whistle to the Exhaust but a Siren whistle actually sounds similiar to a Turbo whine..

Personally, I think it's a TERRIFIC idea...providing your aim is to have people on the street laugh at you, throw half-eaten Whoppers at your car at the lights and call you a wan*er everywhere you go. :doubt:

Magna owners have a hard enough time as it is getting street cred from the bogans out there.

Also, you justify this 'mod' by saying "not everyone can afford to Turbo or Charge their car". Based on your logic, a Magna owner who couldn't afford to buy a Ferrari would be justified in painting their car red and putting Prancing Horse stickers on it, yeah?

I had to cancel the Idea.. Siren Whistles have been pulled off the Australian Market as they Caused a Choking Hazard...( At least that was what I was told by the Party Supplies Retailer)

As for the Ferrari thing, If a Magna Owner who wants a Ferrari but cannot afford one should look at a Kit Car..


Besides This Mod was being done for a Friend using my car as the Guniea pig...

That would be Eliminated from happening as it would be Infront of the Air Filter and Failing that their is a Honey comb section in front of the MAF to stop that anyway... but since They are not sold here in Australia I will have to tell my friend to Just fork out for the Turbo sound Exhaust tip...
